I don’t have all that much to say so I will keep this short and sweet. From the director of the cult classic, Tucker and Dale vs Evil, comes a new horror comedy, Clown in a Cornfield. We follow Quinn (Katie Douglas) after she moves to a small midwestern town with her father. She quickly makes friends with a group of hooligans who make short YouTube horror movies with the town’s mascot, Frendo the Clown. However, when they start being picked off one by one by Frendo himself, Clown in a Cornfield turns into an effective teen slasher that both honors the genre while also satirizing it. With creative kills, some unexpected twists in the narrative and the ensemble cast finding a perfect balance between terrorizing horror and over-the-top camp, Clown in a Cornfield is a fun time. Whether you love horror comedies or teen slashers, this movie is for you.
